Changes to PD rights for farmers???

Some ‘potentially’ good news from the Government for farmers to.... 

✅ build a barn or 

✅ convert barns to a farm shop, holiday let or sports facility.

There is no further detail as to whether it will be all farms, or whether there will be size restrictions (I suspect yes) as there are now for some farm PD Rights. Or whether for new barns if future permitted development rights to then covert the barn to other uses such as residential will be allowed or not.

🐾 Next Steps

First the Government have to issue a consultation document, this will provide further information on the detail, then if they bring the PD Rights forward its unlikely to be in legislation before the end of the year though.

As always the devil will be in the detail.... but watch this space!
