Property Developers in Stockport....

The council has made public in their committee report the Emerging Stockport Draft Local Plan with the intention to go out to formal public consultation for comment in September and October.

For those that don’t get involved in the planning policy aspects of our industry, to put it simply…. this document will become the benchmark for decision making on planning applications in Stockport. 

It is critical!

It sets out the councils anticipated spatial housing and economic needs to 2041….. amongst others…. as its 203 pages !

All be it with anticipated changes to the National Planning Policy Framework on the horizon by Labour so it’s likely it could be amended before the September consultation starts. 

What is important though is we have an opportunity to influence it !

Looks like September is going to be busy ensuring my landowner and developer interests in the area are fully represented!
