We need Tradespeople!

It’s not just the planning system holding up the delivery of new homes!

Interesting statistics published in The Guardian yesterday.

We need 1.3m tradespeople to meet repairs and construction demands. 377,000 to replace those retiring and 734,000 to meet new demand and currently it reports some people are waiting over a year to get jobs done!!

Of course, good people are worth waiting for too (like planners 😊)….

Hope this is on the Labour Party’s conference agenda! 

No point trying to sort out the front end of the planning system…. if then planning permissions expire as the labour supply isn’t there to get them built!
